Wear Orange the first weekend in June to commemorate the shooting death of Hadiya Pendleton in 2013. She was only a teenager. Her friends put together an event to honor her life, asking everyone to wear orange, the colors that hunters wear to protect themselves. Tell your friends to Wear Orange June 7-9!

Please join us on Wednesday, June 5 at 7 pm at Bend City Hall, where we will receive a proclamation from City Council. The proclamation will declare the first Friday in June to be Gun Violence Awareness Day in the City of Bend to honor and remember all victims and survivors of gun violence and to declare that we, as a country, must do more to end this public health crisis.
